A Florida mushroom farm that makes its own extracts

Florida Shroom King grows mushrooms in Samsula-New Smyrna and turns some of them into alcohol-free extracts on the same farm. We sell them here and face to face at three Central Florida farmers markets every single week.

No middlemen

Who we are

Andrew Johnson, Florida Shroom King, started the farm and still grows the mushrooms and makes every extract. He is not a one-man booth anymore. Mycologists from the club run some of our market tables, and Scott runs the market side of the business. We were the first mushroom farm in Volusia County, and we are the only mushroom farm in Florida cultivating outdoors, on land that has been farmland for over a hundred years.

  • Mycelium on grain.
  • Fillers or cheap binders.
  • A vague "proprietary blend."

Every extract starts as a whole wildcrafted mushroom, never mycelium grown on grain. You should be able to know where your mushrooms came from.

Where to find us

The booth is where most people meet us first. Come handle the fresh mushrooms, taste an extract, and ask anything about how either one is made. We are at three markets every single week.

Fresh mushrooms sell out fast at the booth. Preorder and we'll set yours aside for market pickup.

There's a club now

We helped start a mushroom club

A few of us founded the Florida Mycological Society in 2024. It has held a free walk every month since, on trails across Florida, open to anyone who wants to learn to find and identify wild mushrooms.
