What makes this different
  • Whole fruiting bodies. Half grown on our farm in Florida, half wild-foraged in Michigan.
  • No grain filler, no mycelium grown on grain and dried into powder. You get mushroom, not oatmeal.
  • No alcohol, solvent-free, triple-fraction extraction.
  • Sold face to face at Central Florida farmers markets every week. You can shake the hand that made it.

A lot of the generic mushroom powders in tubs are mostly the grain the mycelium grew on. This is the whole mushroom, extracted.

What it is

What this actually is

Reishi. Whole fruiting bodies, half grown on our farm from a wild Florida strain we cloned, half foraged wild in Michigan. 1887mg of it in every 1ml serving.

A wild Reishi conk growing on hemlock.
A wild Reishi conk growing on hemlock.
What it is
A hard shelf mushroom. It grows on wood, not soil.
Part used
The fruiting body, whole.
Traditional usage
Calming the spirit. China, Japan, Korea.
Modern usage
Rest and winding down, worldwide.

What Triple Extract means

Our first batches were alcohol tinctures. At an early farmers market a customer told us straight out that it was hard to take, and that's the reason this bottle isn't made that way any more.

Three fractions, and the name means exactly that. Reishi goes in whole and comes out as liquid, through a triple-fraction, multi-phase exhaustive extraction. Alcohol is never used. Neither is a solvent. A woody mushroom will not give anything up to a jar of vodka, which is why the method matters more here than it does with a soft one.

How to take it

Under the tongue, or in a drink

Step 1

Shake the bottle.

Step 2

One to three milliliters under your tongue. Hold it there about sixty seconds, then swallow. Begin with one. Stay on one for a week or so before you judge it. Three is the stronger evening, not the starting point.

Or

Stir it into a drink. Heat is fine with Reishi, so a cup of tea at night works too.

The flavor surprises people. It's sweet with a slight tart edge, a dash of apple cider vinegar and a subtle apple flavor behind it, but earthier than you might expect, with some very subtle woody, bitter notes underneath. Nothing about it tastes medicinal.

Where it fits in your day

Three points in an ordinary day where it actually fits

The Reishi is best kept under the pillow.

Earlier in the dayA busy mindWhen the day is running ahead of you. It helps soothe and settle the mind.
After a hard workoutTraining daysA hard session can leave you buzzing long after you've showered.
An hour before bedThe nightstandThe bottle sits on the nightstand, not the kitchen counter. Early enough to settle, so you are not chasing it.

Always

Grown on our farm and wild foraged, and extracted by us. Whole fruiting bodies. No alcohol, no solvents, water based.

Never

Mycelium grown on grain. Fillers and cheap binders. Anything hiding inside a proprietary blend. A claim we can't back up. A substitute for care a doctor has prescribed.

Absorbed

Why this is a liquid you hold under your tongue

Reishi's aromatic compounds do not absorb well on their own. Under the tongue they reach you directly, and nano-encapsulation is what keeps them stable enough to get there.

  • Nanoemulsification
  • Nanoencapsulation
  • Sublingual liquid

Every step, from the extraction to the milliliter under your tongue, is there so that more of what we pulled out of the mushroom is still there when it reaches you.

What to expect

The first day, the first weeks, and the long run

Everyone at the booth asks the same thing first. How fast will I feel it? Here is the honest answer, in the order it usually happens.

The first night

What you may notice

Reishi is an evening bottle. Take it before bed and you may notice it the same night. It soothes a busy mind and helps you stay asleep instead of waking in the middle of the night, and most people get a better night's rest early on. An unremarkable first night is normal and not a reason to stop.

The first weeks

It stops being about one night

Same amount, same point in the evening. This is usually where a good night stops being the exception.

A month in

The bottle is either on the counter or it isn't.

The quieter part builds with regular use. A month in you are not thinking about it, which is rather the point.

Give it four to six weeks before you decide. A few people feel nothing at all, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.

Which makes the next part the important part. Not the timeline. The habit.

Grown

The Reishi in this bottle is half wild-foraged in Michigan, half grown on our own farm from a wild Florida strain we cloned ourselves.

Half our Reishi is wild-foraged by our partners in Michigan. The other half comes from a wild Florida strain we found, cloned, and now grow outdoors under wild-like conditions. Every batch is extracted right here.

Grown and foraged Whole fruiting bodies. Half grown on our farm in Florida, half wild-foraged in Michigan.
Picked whole Whole fruiting bodies, harvested by hand and brought in whole.
Extracted here The same farm. No middleman between the growing and the bottle.

Who it's for

Not sure this is your one?

If the evening is not what you are trying to fix, one of the others probably fits better. Lion's Mane is the morning bottle, for focus and memory. Trifecta is the broad one, and it leads on gut and immune rather than either. Not sure? Take the quiz.

Chaga is technically not a mushroom; it is a sterile conk on birch trees.

Stacks well with

Reishi at night. Lion's Mane in the morning.

They do opposite jobs at opposite ends of the day, which is why most people who take one end up taking both. Trifecta is the other direction: gut and immune rather than focus.

Extract or powder

An extract and a powder are two different products

Both get sold as mushroom supplements, so the difference is easy to miss. This compares the two categories, not two brands.

Reishi Triple Extract compared with mushroom powders
Compared on Reishi Triple ExtractWhat you get here Mushroom powdersThe category
What is in it Whole fruiting bodies. The mushroom itself. Milled mushroom material, and in many products the grain the mycelium was grown on.
Whole or milled Whole fruiting bodies, wild-harvested, extracted into liquid. Milled material, and often much of it is the grain the mycelium was grown on.
Extracted or ground A triple-fraction, ultrasound extraction in water. No alcohol, no solvents. Ground, and nothing is extracted at all.
How you take it One to three milliliters, under the tongue or stirred into water or tea. A scoop, mixed into a drink or into food.
What a serving is One milliliter, thirty or sixty servings a bottle. A scoop, measured by volume.
What is added Glycerin, apple cider vinegar, sunflower lecithin. Varies by product.

If you came here comparing liquid to capsule. A capsule is usually dried mushroom or extract powder in a shell that you swallow. We don't make one. This is the mushroom pulled into a liquid you hold under your tongue for about sixty seconds, or stir into water or tea. Both are fine ways to take a mushroom.

And you can find the person who made it. We grow it, we extract it, and we hand it to people at four Central Florida farmers markets every week. Quality from fruit to finished product.

From people who take it

  • I've been taking the Reishi Triple Extract from Florida Shroom King for a few weeks now, and it's become a calming part of my evening routine. I take it about an hour before bed. The sweet, fruity flavor is a pleasant surprise compared to other extracts I've tried. While I haven't noticed dramatic changes, I do feel sleep seems to come a bit easier.

Traditional use

What the old monks believed

The monks in Reishi's story are mostly Taoist. The ancient Taoists sought it out, and the old Chinese herbals describe hermits gathering it while they lived in the wild. Its Chinese name is lingzhi, and the ling is sometimes read as the mountains it was gathered from. Li Shizhen's Bencao Gangmu, the great Chinese herbal of the 1500s, called it a thing the immortals lived on.

What they believed was bigger than health. Chinese tradition held that Reishi calms the shen, the word for a person's mind and emotional balance, which that tradition placed in the heart. The Classic of Herbal Medicine, from around 200 CE, says that long use of it makes one feel happy and vigorous. In Japan it became Mannentake, the ten-thousand-year mushroom. And it is said that Shaolin monks used it for centuries to go deeper into meditation.

Red Reishi was rare in the wild, so for much of China's history it went mostly to the emperor and his court, and it is still carved over doorways in the Forbidden City. Much of this is legend as much as history, and we call it that. What carried through is why people still reach for it: the end of the day.

Safety

This is concentrated. A bottle holds far more Reishi than an evening cup would, so read this part before your first serving.

We grow mushrooms. We're not doctors, and this isn't medical advice. What follows is what the preparation is, who should ask someone qualified before starting, and how to start carefully. One serving a day. If anything feels wrong, stop.

Medications.

If you take a prescription medication of any kind, ask your doctor or your pharmacist before you start.

Pregnancy and nursing.

If you're pregnant or nursing, ask your doctor before taking any mushroom extract, this one included.

Allergies.

If you have a mushroom allergy, do not take this. It's a mushroom extract, and there's no version of it without the mushroom.

Pets.

Reishi and Turkey Tail are the two people usually choose for pets. One firm rule: no Chaga for dogs, because the oxalic acid is too high.

Speak to a doctor first if any of these apply to you: pregnancy or nursing, a blood thinner, an immunosuppressant, or chemotherapy.

Ask us anything

Good questions

The things people ask us at the booth

Does Reishi grow on trees?

Yes, on wood. Half of ours is foraged by a partner in the Michigan woods, the way it grows wild. The other half we grow ourselves in Florida from a wild strain we cloned. Both halves are whole fruiting bodies.

Can I drink it instead?

You can. Under the tongue is what we suggest, because that is how it absorbs best. Into water or tea works too, and the one you will actually take every evening beats the one you skip.

When should I take Reishi?

In the evening, an hour or so before bed. If mornings suit you better and it works, keep doing that.

Will Reishi make me groggy?

It settles rather than sedates. Take it in the evening and you may find winding down easier. It is not a knockout and you should not wake up foggy.

How is this different from a powder?

A powder is milled mushroom, and a lot of what you buy in one is the grain the mycelium grew on. This is whole fruiting bodies put through an extraction, so what the mushroom carries ends up in the liquid. You take a milliliter instead of a scoop.

Why is some of it foraged and some grown?

Because both are good and they are good for different reasons. The Michigan forest gives us mushrooms nobody planted. Our Florida half comes from a wild strain we found here and cloned, then grow outdoors under wild-like conditions.

What does it taste like?

Sweet and silky, nearer apple than medicine, with a tartness no sharper than fruit. There is a woody bitterness under it that belongs to the mushroom.

Can I take it with my medication?

The safety section further up answers this properly and covers pregnancy and nursing too. The short version is that this is concentrated, so it is worth asking.

Can I give it to my pet?

Reishi and Turkey Tail are the two people usually choose for pets. One firm rule: no Chaga for dogs, because the oxalic acid is too high.

How does the subscription work, and can I stop it?

Skip or pause your deliveries whenever you need, right from your account. No phone calls. Pause for up to three months at a time. After your second order, you can cancel from the same place.

Reishi Triple Extract

guys, thank you! received the product quickly and it was better than described. using it consistently about 6 weeks now under the tongue but also with chocolate at night before bed, something i’ve been doing to satiate since getting sober many years ago. y’all might even consider selling some chocolate with this- the pairing is so good. ice cream as well, especially coffee & chocolate ice cream. also good straight though. anyway this reishi extract was better than what i experienced with top-shelf supplements at the co-op and actually put me to sleep in about an hour. worked for my wife too and we both have issues with pm overactive brain given the nature of our entrepreneurial work. totally took our insomnia from a 7 out of 10 to maybe a 2? morning was even more noticeable and sometimes, the sweet/tasty nature of it subbed for my night time chocolate routine as it’s super fruity and therefore, helped overall sleep hygiene, at least in our case. thank you again (from both of us). lovely product.

Thank you! I'm glad our Reishi Extract helped you get much better rest!

I really appreciate that I have been using Red Reishi from Florida Shroom King's for tge last few weeks - phew!

Things have been incredibly stressful, and God knows I needed help with tgat.

Red Reishi by Florida Shroom King's actually works!

Immediately upon taking it I would feel fortified, strengthened - thus more calm.

I was suspicious - did the somewhat sweet taste hide a lot of sugar? 🙀 Was that what was making g me fell good?

Absolutely not.

I was so relieved to find that tge great taste comes from natural and healthy and ingredients only. Red Reishi's taste actually reminds me of Umeboshi plums, whi h are so good for you. 💕

Thrilled with the calming and energizing effects of Florida Shroom King's Red Reishi extract, I explored some more - and found out some fabulous stuff;

1. Red Reishi slows down aging. Lots of antioxidants.😁

2. Helps digestion - promotes growth if beneficial gut bacteria.

3. Supports immune system.

So I'm sticking with Florida Shroom King's Red Reishi - and also their Lion's Mane, actually. 😁

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the flavor and benefits of our reishi extract!

Reishi Triple Extract

The week before I started taking reishi, I was waking up multiple times throughout the night and feeling the effects during the day. After adding reishi to my routine, I’ve been consistently sleeping through the night without interruption — something I haven’t experienced in a while.

I’ve also been taking lion’s mane, and I truly think they work beautifully together. While lion’s mane helps with focus, memory, and emotional clarity, reishi has brought a calm, grounding energy that’s helped me feel more balanced overall. The combo has improved both my days and nights — focused and clear during the day, deeply rested at night.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to support their nervous system, sleep quality, and emotional well-being.

I'm glad you have been resting better! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Alexis!
